I don’t know about you but I LOVE to travel! There is nothing more exciting to me than
planning an elaborate trip, researching where I will go and what I will see.
It would be great to say that I have mastered the art of packing my travel bag, but, I always seem to bring way more “stuff” than I planned.
Some items I have eliminated from my bag are my Tylenol, Vivarin (alert pills), Anti-Biotics, Anti Nausea and a ton of other meds that I would bring along just in case. Now I bring some versatile essential oils to solve a multitude of Health Concerns.
On Guard- A blend of Clove Bud, CinnamonBark, Wild Orange, Rosemary, Eucalyptus
This is a MUST HAVE oil if you are traveling any distance. On Guard is an anti bacterial, anti viral. Put 2 drops on your hands, inhale deeply, this oil is your hand santizer and Emergen C in 1. Planes are dirty modes of transportation, sit in one for more than 4 hours and listen to the coughing, hacking and sneezing. Know those germs are flying around with no where to go. Use your On Guard and you are equipped to NOT get sick!
While traveling, rub some oil on the bottoms of your feet to prevent yourself from getting sick. Traveling can be stressful, stress reduces our immunity, so protect yourself.
Lavender- Induces Relaxation and Sleep- Traveling out the country into different time zones can really mess up your internal clock. Use Lavender to help you sleep at the appropriate times. Helps with insomnia and Stress
Peppermint- Sleeping on the Plane with no toothbrush handy? Place a drop of Peppermint on the back of your hand and lick! Share some with your neighbor. You will thank me later :) Not only will your breath smell so much fresher, but you will now be WIDE AWAKE.
Wild Orange- The Energizer- this is a great oil to add to your water. A couple of drops inhaled or taken orally with revive you, refresh you and get you pumped to see the next Museum. *Mix 2 drops wild orange and 2 drops of peppermint in the palm of your hands and inhaled deeply 2-3 times.
Deep Blue- When I am at home, I just don’t do a whole lot of walking in my neighborhood they way I do when I am in Paris. When traveling my days are spent exploring and I am spending 10+ hours walking, climbing stairs, hopping on trains etc. My muscle just aren’t used to that amount of activity and they are screaming at me at the end of the day. My savior is Deep Blue, a tiny yet POWERFUL bottle of oil that goes to work on my tired, aching muscles in a hurry. Rub a little in where ever it hurts and by morning, you can take off running again.
Digestzen Caps- Doterra just came out with some new capsules of Digestzen. Anything Digestion related Digestzen will go to work, heart burn, nausea, diarrhea? Foreign Foods and foreign food prep regulations could equal a sickly night spent in the bathroom. Save yourself and make sure to take some Digestzen with you. Just in case
In closing- There is some confusion on TSA regulations and oils. Essential Oils are completely safe to travel with. I have traveled with up to 18 in my carry on bags. Place 3 15ml bottles in a ziploc bag and send it through the machine with your iPad, laptop and other goodies. TSA will not confiscate them.
